But how did we come about? Early in 1998 Louis and long time friend Erol Hassan had been training at one of Melbourne’s leading hardcore gym’s. Erol Hassan, having worked in the Ice cream industry for many years decided to utilise his contacts with suppliers and began buying 100% pure Whey Protein Isolate powder. Being lactose intolerant Erol bought this for his own use and soon realised it was far superior to any other protein supplement on the market which bloated him making him feel uncomfortable. He then started distributing it to his friends and members in the gym in 1kg bags at no profit, much to the disgust of the gym owner at the time, who was selling other products. Why did he do it? Well, as many of you know, there were, and still are many supplements on the market that just don’t cut it for quality, but cost a fortune. So Erol was making many trainers happy with their new found protein at an amazing price, and at the same time was making a statement to the manufacturers out there selling milk powder and calling it a protein supplement.

One day Erol said to Louis, wouldn’t it be great if we could put this stuff in tins and sell it nice and cheap so everyone can afford it. Well Louis was also using the WPI and quickly realised the benefits and wanted everyone to have tho opportunity to experience the difference gained by using a high quality protein supplement. Louis believed in this so much he went on to develop the brand Goliaths Revenge and was determined to sell the highest grade protein at the cheapest prices.

Today we have dropped half our name and are now known as Goliath’s. We also rigorously maintain our policy implemented from day one, and that is:

Louis joined the gym for the first time at age 12 due to a promise he made to an uncle that he was going to loose weight, already approaching 6 foot tall and weighing inn at a healthy 100kg!!! Sure there was much weight to loose, but much muscle to build. Training off and on for a few years Louis continued to read and educate himself on training methods, techniques, diet and supplementation, finally joining a hardcore gym at age 18.

“From the age of 12 I began using supplements and quickly discovered what was good and what was bad, today I am 30 years old, have been training for over 18 years, and have tried many supplements available on the market. I decided to release the Goliath’s Brand simply to provide an opportunity for many more people to be able to afford high quality supplements, and I think today we have achieved that, and will continue to do so in the future.

I love the sport of Bodybuilding and will do it till the day I leave this earth. Although playing a major role in Goliath’s, training today is becoming more challenging but always just as important. After having trained for many years and reaching certain limits, I find myself looking for supplements and formulas that are a cut above the rest to help me achieve new levels of muscle growth which becomes harder as the years go by.
